I am thrilled to have Christy Ikezi, founder of 2nd Story Bakeshop in the kitchen again! Under Christy’s ownership, 2nd Story Bakeshop offered the best breads and pastries in Silicon Valley.

Christy has the same passion as I do in sourcing the best products locally and this is evident in the rich flavors of her baked goods. She’ll talk about sourcing and using interesting flours and ingredients and share her tips and tricks for making perfect, flavorful treats.

Spring is here and summer is on the way. To celebrate, Christy will teach her methods and recipe for hand pies and free form Galettes, the perfect frame for spring & summer fruits.

Christy Ikezi founded 2nd Story Bakeshop and led the company's pastry side, until she sold the business in January 2018. 2nd Story Bakeshop was the first of its kind in the South Bay, sourcing 99% of it ingredients organically. She started the business by selling her unique pastries in local farmer's markets and sourced much of the seasonal fruit directly from farmers. She is passionate about baking with the highest quality ingredients that are available from only a few miles away. Christy loves to experiment with creative ingredient combinations and unique flavor profiles. She may often be found either in her kitchen baking, hiking the surrounding hills, reading or working on a puzzle.
