11/14 Christmas Cookies with Christy Ikezi

from 69.00

11/14 - Wednesday - 6:30 - 8:45 Demo & Hands-On

Class held in South San Jose. Address given after purchase.

I am thrilled to have Christy Ikezi, founder of 2nd Story Bakeshop in my kitchen! Under Christy’s ownership, 2nd Story Bakeshop offered the best breads and pastries in Silicon Valley.

Christy has the same passion as I do in sourcing the best products locally and this is evident in the rich flavors of her baked goods. She’ll talk about sourcing and using interesting flours and ingredients and share her tips and tricks for making perfect cookies. She’ll also share different packaging ideas for holiday gift giving.

Take both of Christy’s baking classes (11/7 & 11/14) and save!

We will bake:

  • Savory Curry Shortbread Cookies

  • Lemon Walnut Shortbread Cookies

  • Triple Ginger Cookies

  • Dark Chocolate Buckwheat Cookies with Sea Salt

  • We’ll have a few appetizers to snack on as well

Classes are nonrefundable but feel free to send someone in your place if you are unable to attend.

Christy Ikezi founded 2nd Story Bakeshop and led the company's pastry side, until she sold the business in January 2018. 2nd Story Bakeshop was the first of its kind in the South Bay, sourcing 99% of it ingredients organically. She started the business by selling her unique pastries in local farmer's markets and sourced much of the seasonal fruit directly from farmers. She is passionate about baking with the highest quality ingredients that are available from only a few miles away. Christy loves to experiment with creative ingredient combinations and unique flavor profiles. She may often be found either in her kitchen baking, hiking the surrounding hills, reading or working on a puzzle.
